Teatro delle Ariette 2015
There are two scarecrows.
They live at 2781, Rio Marzatore street in Castello di Serravalle, Valsamoggia district, Bologna area, Italy, in the small farm called "le Ariette" by the real estate registry office.
They came in the autumn 1989, while the Berlin wall was falling.
They do theatre, they farm and take care of many animals.
They also cook.
Above Le Ariette, there's the highest hill of all the valley.
They call it "the roof of the world" and sometimes they climb the hill to look faraway.
Up there, they hold their hands and stay in silence.
They made this show to share that look they cannot explain with words.
They put a big pot to cook polenta in the center of the scene with a big, short table , so big and so short to look like a bed.
In the background there is a small screen, like a window, where you can see the time passing by.
They are fragile, as all scarecrows are, lasting for only one harvest, then they return to be straw, wood and old clothes.
They hold the mystery of gestures and words that tell the time of life as a theatre of utopias and passions: the dream of two scarecrows.
The show is open to 60 persons.
In the end we share food prepared during the show.
